Design: A Finer Expression Of The Brand's DNA

The design of the Excess 13 picks up on the codes of our previous models. Externally, the Excess teams have retained the lines of the hull and the shape of the windows and have worked around this base to present a new model in keeping with the DNA of our brand. For the interior design, Jean-Marc Piaton began with interviews to identify, understand and get into the spirit of the brand and give it substance. "We listened to a good thirty people talk to us about the brand: employees, owners, dealers, charterers... What emerged was a very positive and, above all, highly identified perception. This is both very rare for such a young brand, and very interesting when considering its design. Herve Piveteau had high expectations of lightness, both real and perceived, and wanted this new model to fit in well with the existing models, without creating too strong a break." As it was impossible to leave it at that, bridgedeck clearance was increased for better passage through the water, and the hulls designed asymmetrically to reduce interference drag. Continuing in this innovative approach, there is also: A lower center of gravity, an optimized structure (foam sandwich, carbon reinforcements, etc.), and a new longitudinal volume distribution. All the space you need

By putting the wheels in front of the cockpit, the cockpit itself is enormous and completely free of lines. In fact, the old fashioned name 'cockpit' does not suit this spacious feature on the Saffier SE 37 Lounge. It has become a real lounge place. Fitted out with comfortable seats and luxury cushions where your family and friends can enjoy sailing the best way possible. Not only while sailing this is a great place to be. At anchor or in the harbour it is easily converted into a real terrace on the water. Again: with just one button. A push on the button lifts the integrated cockpit table out of the floor. A huge table, where at least ten people can have a seat.

All the comfort

On board the Saffier SE 37 Lounge there is no real border between 'outside' and 'inside'. Thanks to the wide cabin entrance and a minimal level difference the transition between outside and inside is completely fluid and natural. Because of the application of carbon, a main bulkhead is unnecessary. Therefore the inside of the cabin is completely open and light.

Inside you find all the comfort you need. There is a little coffee corner, a galley, the head, luxury seats, headroom and a huge double bed in the front. And, last but not least, there is a lot of storage space. At anchor or in the harbour, it is easily converted into a real terrace on the water. A push on the button lifts the integrated cockpit table out of the floor. A huge table, where at least ten people can have a seat.
